Komova Wins Russian Championships

(International Gymnast): Upstart
Viktoria Komova (Voronezh) won the all-around title at the Russian
Championships for Women, held Wednesday in Penza. Komova, who
turned 15 in January, defeated European champion Ksenia Semyonova
(Khimki-Novomoskovsk) by nearly 3 points. 2008 Olympian Svetlana
Klyukina (Severodvinsk) finished third.

Goryunova has been suspended by the Russian federation for testing

Games later this year is growing among the countries due to take
part in the event, it has been claimed. Mike Hooper, the chief
executive of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), said that

and the current hockey World Cup in New Delhi had helped allay
many of the fears about security for the Games, which are due to
