Last time in history: A World Championship under the flag of F.I.T.

Zum letzten Mal in der Geschichte fanden Welttitelkämpfe ausschließlich unter der Flagge der FIT statt: Der FIT-Kongreß hatte mit seiner Selbstauflösung am 6.10.98 und seinem Anschluß an die FIG die Weichen für Sydney 2000 gestellt.
Trampolin-Einzel ist olympisch!

Die künftige Olympiastadt bot im State Sportscentre, Homebush Bay auch sehr gute Trainingsbedingungen bei diesen 20.Weltmeisterschaften

Very good conditions for training in the Olympic city of the year 2000.
But the Olympic competitions will be in another venue, which will be built now: An Olympic SuperDome for the Olympic competitions in Artistic Gymnastics and also for the premiere of trampoline.

The German's national coach Michael Kuhn is happy about the gold and bronze medals....

The Russian team was the best in Sydney:
Eight Gold medals - alone four in the individual disziplines, one of them:
German Knichev in the Olympic kings diszipline trampolin/individual.
The best German was Stefan Reithofer (pic.left) on seventh place.

Deutschland blieb ohne Medaille bei den Männern.
Bester war Stefan Reithofer auf Rang 7 (Siehe Foto, links).
Russland stellte mit acht Erfolgen (siehe Medaillenspiegel)
das herausragende Team in Sydney: Allein in den Einzeldisziplinen
des letzten Wettkampftages gewannen sie 4 Goldmedaillen:
Im Tumbling der Frauen (Jelena Bloujina),
im Tumbling der Männer Lewon Petroschjan)
auf dem Trampolin (Irina Karawajewa)
sowie auf dem Trampolin-Großgerät der Männer:
German Knitschew.
