| The stability in
person From the beginning of the Nineties Gina is at the top of the gym-world! She´s homlier than a top-star, but her results are at the highest level: She won 14. international titles in 6 years ( only excluding the uneven bars). Gina is "history´s No. 1" of the new "GYM World Ranking List". Gina was sad that she didn't win an Olympic Goldmedal in Atlanta, even if she won the All round- Silvermedal and three others also. Formerly she was a dynamic, acrobatic gymnast; but in her 20th year she has become a more and more expressive type. Gina finished her successful career in 1998, but it is not unimpossible, that she will come back in Olympics 2000 ... (?) |
Die personifizierte
Beständigkeit Seit Anfang der neunziger Jahre war Gina in der Weltspitze. Vom Auftreten eher unscheinbar, hat sie sich jedoch durch ihre Top-Leistungen 14 internationale Titel geholt (außer Stufenbarren). Sie war die allererste NUMMER 1der im September 1997, nach den Weltmeisterschaften in Lausanne, neu geschaffene GYM-Weltrangliste - gewissermassen die historische NR.1, ! Traurig war Gina, als ihr - trotz Mehrkampfsilber und 4 Medaillen in Atlanta '96 - kein Olympiasieg gelang. Zuletzt hatte sie sich mit ihren über 20 Jahren vom betonten Akro-Typ zur immer ausdrucksstärkeren Turnerin gewandelt. Sie beendete ihre Karriere 1998, aber es war zu höhren, dass sie auf Bitte ihres rumänischen Verbandes vielleicht zu den Olympischen Spielen 2000 wieder erscheint ...(?) |
