The new face from Cuba: |
On the first day of the Challenge Cup in Anadia (POR) the athletes from Latin America left a strong impression and won all 5 apparates of the first part of finals. A strong delegation from Cuba won the men's floor final by Manrique LARDUET and the women's vault final by Marcia VIDEAUX.
After final day two Cuba's Manrique LARDUET won the vault and also the high bar final and was the most successful gymnast of this event, and Cuba the best nation too.
Winner on pommel horse was Jossimar CALVO from Columbia and best on still rings was Federico MOLINARI from Argentina.
Also the victory on uneven bars went to Latin America, to Jessica LOPEZ, from Argentina too. But on second day two European gymnasts broke the winning streak of the South Americans: Emma LARSSON from Sweden on balance beam and Hungary's Dorina BOCZOGO on floor exercises ...
