Keatings continues to shine
*baga--: World all around Silver medallist Daniel Keatings proved why he is one the best by taking the 2009 British Senior Championships.The Huntingdon superstar returned to action in front of a familiar London crowd to re-claim the prestigious tile he won in 2007 from last year’s winner Kristian Thomas of Earls, who like Dan also excelled at the recent World Championships when he finished in 6th place at the o2.
The Bronze medal went to Daniel’s Huntingdon teammate Luke Folwell.

Reiss Beckford (GBR)

* Juniors.
The under 16 and under 18 events ran simultaneously giving the audience a chance to see the all of the future stars of British Gymnastics together.
* Under 18:
Reiss Beckford (South Essex) moved seamlessly up to the under 18 age-group to be comfortably crowned 2009 British Champion with a winning score of 83.600 from club teammate Anthony Hughes (79.400), with Huntingdon’s Cameron Mackenzie in all-around Bronze (79.200).

* In the Under 16 event, Huntingdon and South Essex once again proved they have superb talent with Sam Oldham (Huntingdon) taking the title with 83.800 points ahead of South Essex’s Max Whitlock (81.600), with Hinckley’s William Trood taking the Bronze medal (77.850).

* Under 12.
Brinn Bevan of South Essex took the under 12 competition by storm to get the 2009 British Men’s Championships off to a great start. Brinn’s score of 78.500 led the field from Dynamo’s Charlie Howard (74.900) and Giarnni Regini-Moran (74.400) of Waveney. Brinn's victory was warmly appreciated by the local crowd and made for a great first day of the Championships.
