Women's competitions... After winning two gold medals in the opening day at the Quan Ngua Sports Palace last weekend, Do Thi Ngan Thuong dominated in the women’s individual uneven bars and vault events for two more gold medals.
Phan Thi Ha Thanh from Hai Phong also grabbed two gold medals, one from beating Thuong in the head-to-head in the women’s floor exercise and balance beam.
On the men’s side, Hanoian national team member
Pham Phuoc Hung, took home the gold in the parallel bars with a 14.500 points performance.

Hoang Cuong secured the last gold for Ha Noi after gaining 14.05 points in the floor exercise.

Nguyen Minh Tuan, who placed fourth in the men’s vault at the
Asian Gymnastics Championships in India, doubled the gold medal tally after earning 14.800 points in the ring and 16.038 points on the vault.
The championship, which has drawn nearly 100 athletes from across the nation, continues Tuesday with sports aerobic events.
After the championship, national team members will keep training in China in preparation for December’s Asian Games in Qatar.
