us-gymnastics ---: Chris Estrada of Lafayette, La./Trampoline & Tumbling Express, won his second straight U.S. men’s senior elite trampoline title at the 2006 U.S. Trampoline and Tumbling Championships at the Renaissance Convention Center in Schaumburg, Ill.
Erin Blanchard from the same club, won the senior women’s title for trampoline, and Kalon Ludvigson of Plano, Texas/Texas Dreams, took home two gold medals (senior men's double-mini trampoline and tumbling). Although the junior and senior elite competition has concluded, the event continues with USA Gymnastics Trampoline and Tumbling Junior Olympic Championships, which features competitions for Levels 5-10, July 10-14.
For the senior women, Shelley Klochan of Whiting, Ind./Great Lakes Griffins, claimed the gold medal in double-mini;
Leanne Seitzinger of Dumfries, Va./Novak’s Gymnastics, took first in tumbling; and the duo of Amada Bailey of Levelland, Texas/Acrospirits, and Erin Blanchard were first in synchronized trampoline.
Estrada teamed with Michael Devine of Pecatonica, Ill./J&J Tumbling and Trampoline for first place in synchronized trampoline for the senior men.
