AUSTRALIAN GYMNASTICS OLYMPIC UPDATE: MEN -
WOMEN - RHYTHMIC - TRAMPOLINE
Australia's leading Rhythmic gymnasts are preparing for the
Qantas International Gymnastics Challenge. Danielle LeRay [NSW], the
Australian FIG nominated athlete for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, and Bree Robertson
[NSW] will compete in the Qantas International Gymnastics Challenge.
The Qantas Australian Gymnastics Championships to
be held in conjunction with the Qantas International Gymnastics Challenge, will feature
Men's and Women's gymnastics only.The Rhythmic National Championships will be held from
9-12 June 2000 in Melbourne. The NSW State Trials and NSW State Championships will be
held prior to this event.

Rhythmic NSW State Championships Saturday 27 - 28 May 2000 Sydney
Rhythmic National Championships Friday 9 - 12 June 2000 Melbourne
After a trial on Saturday 13 February three rhythmic gymnasts,
not including Danielle and Bree will be selected to compete in the Senior Pacific
Alliance in New Zealand in April. These three gymnasts may compete in the Qantas
International Gymnastics Challenge, subject to available places, after the final entries
for the event
have been received.
The Trampoline community is preparing for the FIG
World Cup meet at Gosford on the Central Coast on Sunday, 20 February 2000. The
World Champion in Men's and Women's Trampoline have entered the event. The top 10 Men and
Women after the Final of the FIG World Cup meet will travel to Sydney on Wednesday 23
February 2000 to compete in the Qantas International Gymnastics Challenge at the Sydney
SuperDome.
