After the attractive Olympic artistic gymnastics broadcasts from Paris, the first major international women's gymnastics event is coming up in Germany in just over three weeks' time: At the 47th International Leverkusen Cup 2024 on October 12, nine teams from  seven European nations will compete for this coveted trophy, which was last year won by the Netherlands.

You won't find ‘Para Gymnastics’ in the Paris 2024 Paralympic programme yet!
Nevertheless, the sport of apparatus gymnastics was included in the programme as an official international summer sport at Special Olympics International and was also introduced as an official sport at Special Olympics Germany in July 2020. At the "Special Olympic World Games" in Berlin / GER (June 2023), we also learnt more about the development status of this still young sport in Germany.

The 33rd OLYMPIC SUMMER GAMES Paris 2024 will begin for the Gymnastics Disciplines on Saturday July 27/28 with the men's artistic gymnastics qualifications, followed by the women's competitions.
