REPORT:
 -----
Oksana Chusovitina from Uzbekistan started the vault final with a good performance. She presented as well her first vault as also her second vault layout Tsukahara 1 ½ twists solidly. Her score of 9.412 would later on bring her on the first rank.

Zamo - Coach Kusnetzowa - Chuso

>> The second starter Monica Bergamelli (ITA) had injured herself during warm-up and couldn’t start in the final.
>> Joanna Skowronska from Poland had problems with her RO ½ turn on – salto fw. picked ½ turn off. She didn’t reach the centre of the vaulting table with her hands and then also had to secure the landing with a large step to the side.
>> Romania’s Oana Petrovschi presented two solid but not perfectly executed vaults (layout Jurchenko double twist and RO ½ turn on – salto fw. picked ½ turn off).
>> Also the experienced gymnast Jana Komroskova (CZE) with problems in the execution today, but without major errors (RO ½ turn on – salto fw. picked ½ turn off and handspring – salto fw. picked ½ turn).
>> The World Champion Yelena Zamolodchikova not in the same form as last week but nonetheless with two good vaults. She managed to stick the landing of her layout Jurchenko double twist but had slight problems with the landing of her layout Tsukahara double twist. In the end it was enough for rank 1, shared with Oksana Chussovitina.
>> Verona van de Leur in her 3rd final in Stuttgart with 2 good vaults (layout Jurchenko double twist and RO ½ turn on – salto fw. picked ½ turn off), however on both of them she had to secure the landing with a step backwards. In the end she reached the 3rd rank with the score of 9.268.

REPORT: ----- After a long competitions’ season for the gymnasts at the end of the year, the audience got to see an uneven bars World Cup Final with quite a few not-perfectly presented routines.

>> Germany’s Birgit Schweigert was the first starter (she took part out of the official competition). She presented a solid routine including a piked Jaeger with only one slight “stop” in one of her handstands and a small step after her double salto fw. dismount. (SV 9.4; final score: 8.6).
>> Allana Slater (AUS) lost all chances to win a medal after a fall on her straddled Jaeger (before which she presented 1/1 turn on the bar). After a fall on this apparatus at the World Championships last week, the Netherlands’s gymnastics star Verona van de Leur today presented a good routine with many Stalders, 1/1 turn – piked Jaeger and a Tsukahara dismount. The score of 9.225 secured her the bronze medal.
>> Jacqui Dunn (AUS) had a better day than her team mate and showed a difficult and beautiful routine (SV 10.0) with Stalder – giant ½ turn, one-armed giant ½ turn and Tsukahara dismount. With the score of 9.275 she ended up on rank 2.
>> Oksana Chusovitina (UZB) reached rank 5 with a routine which lacked a bit of power and included some insecurities.

>>  Italy’s Monica Bergamelli touched the lower bar with her foot during one giant and due to this fell from the bar. Romania’s best gymnast on uneven bars,
Oana Petrovschi, presented a difficult and nice routine (SV 10.0) with safe handstand – turns on the upper bar and a high and safe Gienger. She then sticked her double-double dismount and won this final with the score of 9.5. Jana Komroskova (CZE) started with not enough power in her routine and then had to leave the apparatus during a giant.

The audience’s favorite Elena Zamolodchikova was the last starter in this final. She began her routine with her spectacular mount rondat- handspring ½ turn on the lower bar.

Also the rest of her routine with Jaeger, straddled Tkatchev and a Tsukahara dismount was well presented, however with some slight insecurities. The audience was quite unhappy about her score of 9.125  (SV 9.9) with which she ended up on rank 4.

REPORT:
--- Jelena Zamolodchikova started this final well and finally ended up on rank 2 with her routine including salto bw. tucked – ff – ff ½ turn to support as well as a standing arabian. She only had to make a slight step on her double salto bw. tucked dismount.

>> Verona van de Leur lost all chances to win a medal after a fall right at the beginning of her routine. The rest of it was presented well until the 21/2 twists dismount.

>> Also Jana Komrskova fell on her salto fw. mount and she also messed up her dismount – only a simple bw. salto tucked was not enough and she ended up on rank 8.
>> Sun, Xiaojiao from China presented a clean and difficult routine with one-armed ff- ff – layout. She only had one slight wobble on a leap, in the end it was enough for rank 1.
>> Tatiana Zharganova (BLR) with several insecurities during her routine but she managed to present the difficult ff ¼ turn to handstand very well.

The audience liked the routine of Daniele Hypolito a lot but with one fall during the routine she lost all chances on a top position in this final.

>> Allana Slater presented her  routine very carefully and had a major break

after the first element in her combination – ff 1/1 twist – ff – split layout bw. She was the only finalist with a double salto bw. picked dismount.

>> The last starter Oksana Chusovitina presented an elegant and safe routine with split layout fw. – ff - layout. She also sticked her double salto bw. tucked dismount and secured herself the bronze medal.

REPORT:  ---  Also in the womens’s floor final quite a few not that perfect routines were presented. (Out of the official competition) Daria Bijak started for Germany with an expressive choreography to Spanish music. However, she stepped out of bounds on her double salto bw. picked dismount.
>> Yelena Zamolodchikova’s routine was well liked by the audience but she had some problems with her acrobatic elements. Also she stepped out of bounds on her double salto bw. picked dismount. Her team mate Nataila Ziganshina presented a beautiful routine but couldn’t finish her tuck jump full turn and fell on her double salto bw. picked. Already in the week before at the World Championships Zhang Nan impressed with her beautiful floor routine. Today she presented it well with a secure triple twist and ended up on rank 2.

>> Allana Slater had a better start on floor than on bars. She presented her expressive choreography solidly and secured herself rank 3. In contrast to the week before, where she won the silver medal on floor at the World Championships, Verona van de Leur today ended up on top of the winners‘ podium. She started her beautiful and difficult floor routine with a picked Tsukahara and also presented the rest of her routine faultlessly.
>> Oksana Chussovitina started her routine with a double layout followed in the next row by a tucked Tsukahara. With a SV of 9.4 she reached the score of 8.925 and ended up on rank 4.
>> Yevgenia Kuznetzova’s orientalic choreography was well liked by the audience and she presented it solidly (SV 9.3). In the last floor final of her career Romania’s gymnastics queen Andrea Raducan showed a beautiful routine, however with slight problems. The landing of her combination whip – double salto bw. picked could only be secured by a large step. With a start value of 9.4 and the score of 8.637 she ended up on rank 7.
