Evgenia Kanaeva: with a TV kiss on the hand, but for whom ...?
Kanaeva performed nearly faultless, except one little mistake at a boomerang catch where she catched the ribbon together with the stick. ** fig-video--:
In the individual all-around on Friday the decision about the bronze medal will be very close between the Azeri and the Ukrainian gymnast, while the two Russian gymnastic´s stars surely decide between themselves who is going to be the next world champion - if nothing unforeseen happens.
Ranking on third place behind the two Russian favorites, the Azerbaijanian star Aliya Garayeva has big chances for bronze: ** fig - video --:

Qualification Round, Part II (Clubs & Ribbon II)
This Thursday, Evgenia Kanaeva, Daria Kondakova and Alexandra Merkulova, 16 year old newcomer in the Russian squad and 2010 Junior Olympic champion in Singapur – instead of Daria Dmitrieva – showed again their outstanding conditions.
Even if Kondakova and Merkulova had some problems during their performances and scored “only” 28.375 and 28.050 points with clubs, it´s still more than enough to keep the distance to the other teams.
