FIG ---: After about 50 years devoted to sports, the President of the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee, Ms Egle Abruzzini (ITA) passes the torch.
From 2009, a new President will lead RG Technical Committee.
The last World Cup Final in Benidorm iwas also her last competition and marks the end of a long and interesting period.
The Spanish organisers, the gymnasts and the audience thanked Ms. Abruzzini for her exceptional career with a highly emotional tribute paid to her. She is recognised in the whole world for her competence, her integrity and her strong will to promote the women’s position in the field of sports.
