 World Cup: International Flanders Cup of Sports Acrobatics

 Today: Finals and Gala in Puurs...
The Flanders International Cup of sports Acrobatics will be organized between the 31st of March and the 3rd of April 2005 and will held in the Sportcoplex de Vrijhals" in Puurs, Belgium.
The Flanders International Acro Cup is a FIG World Cup and open for National Teams as well for Club Teams. In this competition, there will be a Sawagg, Junior and Senior level.
This year there it is again a team competition....
 
Official Equipment: Janssen-Fritsen
 
This team classification is established on the basis of the 4 best overall placings out of the 5 categories. There will be a team competition for Sawagg, juniors and seniors. This invitation has been developed in accordance with the FIG regulations and rules and subsequent decisions of the FIG Executive Committee and Sports Acrobatics Commission.

History of Flanders Cup
In 5 years time, the Flanders International Acro Cup has changed from a small international tournament (5 participating countries in 2001) to the largest International tournament in the world for this discipline, with the participation of 20 countries. It has a solid reputation and strong participants. This tournament is known as a well organized competition with a high level game. There is a growing interest from foreign top clubs. The tournament is organized in Puurs every year.		  
 

  For 2005 the organizers hope to welcome more than 500 gymnasts from 20 different countries. The number of Belgian gymnasts also increases every year.
New from 2005 on is that the tournament is linked to the world cup.
