The latest result of his renomated and above all creative idea-pool is now standing on the roof of his gymwheel workshop in Bleidenstadt, the biggest suburb of the city Taunusstein in Hesse (Germany).

Former World Champion Wolfgang Bientzle (GER) as a lector

It is a good tradition, that the International Wheel Gymnastics Federation (IRV) is inviting to an achievement seminar with international participation in the week after the WORLD TEAM CUP.
After the world elite met in the Palatine Wolfstein, one chose Taunusstein this year.
Not without reason, because it is there where the wheel gymnastics club of the TSV Bleidenstadt holds the yearly so-called "Easter seminar".
Why should one not do something in combination then, especially since the "wheel gym guru", the many time former world champion Wolfgang Bientzle (GER) came all the way from Chicago to give forth his knowledge and experience as a teacher.
But it was not only a seminar for the actives.

The German Wheel gymnastics team dominated the scene at the WORLD-TEAM CUP in the Sauerlandian Finnentrop (GER) - not too surprisingly:
Christoph Clausen (TSB Flensburg) with vault, Julia Pohling (SV Neuhof) in spiral gymnastics, Robert Maaser (KSC Strausberg) in straight gymnastics, Svenja Trepte (TSG Bergedorf) in spiral discipline, again Pohling with a straight choreography and Maaser at the end in the vault discipline each won their rounds and therewith collected the most points in series...

The hosting traditional German club "ESV FINNENTROP" is not only making use of it's 50th anniversary as a reason for celebration but also actively hosting the "WORLD TEAM CUP 2010" in wheel gymnastics.
On Sunday the 28th of March the four best teams of the past World Championships 2009 in the Swiss Baar met in Finnentrop:
Germany, Japan, Switzerland aswell as the Netherlands, are sending their current best gymnasts to the start to fight for the title of the 2010 World TeamCup. In the single rounds one gymnast from each country will take part.
On top of this there is the opportunity for the countries, to play a joker - in order to double the points within the round.

At the IVth WORLD-TEAM-CUP 2008 in wheel gymnastics with guests from 5 countries the hosting German team achieved the 4th gold medal in a row and therewith stays unchallenged World-Team-Champion!
With a total of 49 points, Janin OER, Nadine MÜNSTER, Annette PUSCH and Konstantin MALCHIN gained the gold medal in front of the All-Star-Team (34,00) with World Champion Cecile Meschberger, Sabine Krumm (both Switzerland), Vincent Klimo (Austria) and Solveig Krapf (Norway). The wheel gymnasts from Japan and the Netherlands share the thrid position which 32,00 points each.

From August 21 to September 4 14 Wheel gymnasts afrom Germany took part in the 4th Forum Internacional Gymnastic Geral in Campinas (Brazil) an event which is organized every two years by the University of Campinas/Sao Paulo (UNICAMP).
There were workshops for interested club coaches, sports students and sports teachers from Brazil, but also from other South American countries. In the three hour sessions the basics of wheel gymnastics were taught both theoretically and especially practically. In addition, various individual and group performances were part of the programme.

The 7th World Championships in Wheel Gymnastics in Salzburg (Austria) were concluded today by the exciting finals of the juniors and seniors:
Robert Maaser (GER) dominated the finals of the junior individual competitions as he had the all-round event and became World Champion in all three disciplines in Salzburg. In the vault finals Cornell Freenes (USA) came second, Patrick Scholtka (GER) placed third. In the straight-line discipline Patrick Scholtka (GER) won the silver medal, beating Ido Leviatov (ISR) who placed third.Markus Büttner (GER) was rewarded with a silver medal for his performance in the spiral finals. Boy Looijen (NL) came third.

The 7th World Championships in wheel gymnastics were continued today with the all-round competitions of the junior gymnasts.
In the male juniors' class, Robert Maaser (Germany) dominated the field scoring 26.75 points, beating Ido Leviatov from Israel (22.65 points). Achim Pitz from Belgium came third, scoring 22.00 points.
Victoria Henninghausen (GER) scored 24.65 points to become the female juniors' world champion, with her team mates Maren Opfermann (24.15 points) and Mareike Jochem (23.95 points) coming second and third.

WCh: All-round gold medal for Janin Oer (GER)!

After the official Opening Gala yesterday the competitions of the 7th World Championsships in Wheel-Gymnastics in Salzburg started today with the Seniors‘s All Around Competition.
Today title-holder Janin Oer (Germany/25.45 points) again was the winner of the Senior’s women All Around Competition. Kathrin Schad (GER/25.20 Pt) is placed second. She surprised especially with a double summersault in vault. Takako Hiwa (24.30 P.) won the bronze medal for Japan like two years before.
German also won the gold medal in the men’s All Around Competition. Achus Emeis (GER/27.25 P.) , also title-holder from 2005 is placed first.

As part of the 7th World Championships in wheelgymnastics the 7th General Assembly of the IRV took place on 15th May 2007 in Salzburg /Austria.
12 delegates from the member countries Austria, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland came to Salzburg for the meeting.
Without changes the board of the IRV was confirmed. A new statute of IRV was decided.
